Tulip Tree Vision #1
There is a tulip tree in front of my window, which is unremarkable on every day save the one week in April when in blooms. Many years its buds freeze off before it can burst into its full beauty. Once every three years it is amazing with thousands of pink and fuchsia tulips, which are the size of my palm. It reminds me of what can be of plain, ordinary things and how easy it is to miss extraordinary moments if we don't focus our attention on them.
I have hidden little details in these paintings for you to discover something new each time you look.
