Theatrical Dream
A whimsical piece about the nature of theater performances coming together behind the scenes. Digital painting.
As for the process, this work has layers upon layers until all you perceive is the final composite. There are "ghosts" (prior variations) hiding everywhere in the details. Note the textures of yarn, cardboard boxes, faux fur, textiles, and knits. What the audience can see of the theater stage is a mirage. I am fortunate to be able to look behind the productions of the Springfield Little Theater and I am fascinated by how it all comes together from rehearsals to the final performance.
